Multitask Fit: what can you do while listening?
Listenability and Multitask Fit answer two different questions. Listenability measures how much attention the audiobook demands. Multitask Fit measures how safely you can divide that attention without losing the plot, the point, or the performance.
AU considers narration clarity, content complexity, progressive build, interruption tolerance, and how difficult it is to recover after missing fifteen minutes.
AU considers plot density, character load, emotional stakes, visual or technical concepts, rewind risk, and whether the listener can re-enter cleanly after an interruption.

Is Listenability the same as Multitask Fit?
No. Listenability rates attention demand. Multitask Fit rates which activities can share that attention without damaging the experience.
Can an Easy Listen still be bad for multitasking?
Yes. A story can be easy to follow while still relying on emotional nuance, atmosphere, or a performance that deserves closer listening.
Does Great for multitasking mean background noise?
No. It means the narration and structure remain clear during compatible routine activities. It does not mean the audiobook is disposable.
